At Netball America®, we created the first American Netball curriculum in the United States. This supports schools, after-school programs, universities, community recreation and summer camps.

We partner with community organizations, national education bodies, school districts and universities, other sport-based youth associations, Special Olympic associations and disability programs to get people of all ages and ability levels engaging in sports initiatives.

Our framework, programs and equipment we provide make it easy and cost effective to introduce Netball in your community.

Whether you are an individual, group of individuals or an educator or coach wanting to implement Netball, we have various tools and techniques to help you do this.

Coaches and umpires

This is your opportunity to develop junior and adult American Netball athletes through our Stripes to Stars Pathway. We also train coaches and umpires interested in learning Netball. You don’t need Netball experience - we’ll guide you every step of the way. Become a Netball ambassador to help spread the word of Netball at conferences and presentations.

As an American professional athlete I pride myself in knowing about team sports. Hence, I was surprised to learn about Netball America® and how globally popular Netball is. I want to support Netball America® in their efforts to promote Netball and most of all, was impressed when I saw all the athletes competing at the U.S. Open Netball Championships.

HOW TO SET UP A BASIC GAME OF NETBALL

Arrange everyone in 2 teams. 7-a-side is standard, but you can adjust this if you have more or fewer people. If you have 8 people or less, you can set up a half-court game. Don’t focus on positions at first, except for the Center position as they will always take the first pass after each goal scored. In the beginning, let everyone run everywhere and shoot, but shots must be made within the semicircle. Focus on four basic rules: no dribbling, no contact,3 seconds to make a pass and defending a player from 3-feet away. This teaches the basics to those who are new to Netball.
