As a national 501c3 charity, we conduct FREE programs for minority youth, primarily girls through our Be An Inspiration program. This program uses the sport of netball to teach the rules of life and covers teaming activities so they can learn about important social-emotional topics such as – leadership, anti-bullying, self-confidence, nutrition education and physical fitness activities/motor skill development and learning a non-contact international sport played by 20 million called #Netball.
We launched the Be An Inspiration Texas program in January 2025. This program is supporting minority community youth, primarily girls with the aim of getting them active in sports and understand how sports can help them on and off the court. We have partnered with Austin Kidokinetics to run this program for youth aged 4 to 7 as well as with the Austin ISD, Houston ISD and Dallas ISD to introduce our programs for elementary and middle school students. In May to August we conducted training for over 100 PE teachers these districts.
Our annual fundraiser allows us to provide this program for FREE. In addition, it’s supported by winning grants, in which we’ve been recognized by NIKE, KPMG, Dove and Women’s Sports Foundation for this program. It also saw our CEO be 1 of 20 globally to receive the 2024 President’s Council on Sports, Fitness & Nutrition Award.
